Confidence is KEY

Confidence is not something that can be learned like a set of rules; confidence is a state of mind. Positive thinking, practice, training, knowledge and engaging with other people are all useful ways to boost our confidence levels.⁣


⁣Confidence comes from feelings of well-being, acceptance of your self-esteem and belief in your own ability, skills and experience. ⁣

How can we improve our confidence levels to apply in the workplace? ⁣

✔️ Planning - prepare the team

presentation in advance, practice your new technique repeatedly, have a backup plan in place⁣

✔️ Learning - be open to training and learning new skills, broaden your knowledge, knowing why things are done a certain way will add to your awareness⁣

✔️ Positive Thinking - optimism is the faith that leads to achievement, highlight your strengths and successes and learn from your weaknesses and mistakes⁣

✔️ Engaging With Confident Peers - observe behaviours and reactions of confident people to mirror this for yourself⁣

Set yourself 'confidence targets' that require you to step out of your comfort zone and do things that make you feel a degree of nervousness or apprehension.⁣

Practice these skills to maintain and boost your confidence further.
